Welcome

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women. I know, because it happened to me--no family history, out of the blue (and into the pink). A year later, after a mastectomy, chemo and radiation, I am still here. I'm thriving, surviving and living out from under the shadow of cancer.

Excerpt from Invoking The Muse

July 22, 2010 (1 mile...working back up to 4-6 miles a day)

The following is an excerpt from my screenplay, Invoking The Muse.  I have always enjoyed writing.

EXT.. Chelsea Pier - M23 Bus Stop - Night
John exits the front of the bus, assisting Mr. Morgan off the bus. He studies Alicia.
ALICIA
Are you always so nice?
Alicia motions towards Mr. Morgan with her head.  Mr. Morgan shuffles down the sidewalk.
JOHN
Hardly.  Can I interest you in a game of Parcheesi on my boat?  Beautiful night out.
ALICIA
Now that's one for the books. No thanks, I have to get going.
JOHN
Ah, jealous husband at home?
Alica holds up her left hand, wiggling her fingers.  There is no ring on her ring finger.
JOHN
Jealous boyfriend?
Alicia smirks and shakes her head.
JOHN
Oh my God, if you tell me a jealous girlfriend, I'm going to jump in the river.
Alica
Why?  You don't even know me.
JOHN
Because I saw how hot you are for me.  I knew it when I got on the bus.  You want me.
Alicia's mouth flies open.
ALICIA
What the...that's it!  Get off my bus.
John hurries off the bus.  Alicia closes the door right behind him. John stares as the bus pulls off.  He smiles broadly.
JOHN (V.O.)
Yeah, she wants me.
John struts towards the pier.

I do use Celtx to format my screenplays.  The format did not translate here; however, it's properly done on my PC.
