Welcome

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women. I know, because it happened to me--no family history, out of the blue (and into the pink). A year later, after a mastectomy, chemo and radiation, I am still here. I'm thriving, surviving and living out from under the shadow of cancer.

Rage Rant: Public Transportation

No walks, radiation burns and broken skin, 102 degrees in the city...I'm miserable and then this today:

Today I was on my way home from radiation therapy (in 100 degree heat in NYC). This punk stands over me, leaning against the door with his bags swinging hitting my knees. He looked as they hit me and did nothing to prevent it. He did not have to stand there...there was plenty of room in the car. Guess he was mad that he had to stand. Bed bugs are common in NYC, I don't want your nasty bag of clothes touching me when there is no reason for it.

I really dislike rude people on public transportation....well, in public period. I wish this guy would find a VERY large garden gnome to sit on.
